Later…

Reflecting on my poster lead me quickly to the conclusion that the designer that I am is not reflected in the work. Though I love the style we’ve been asked to work in, There’s no sense of gridding and I didn’t consider it very much.

The designer I want to become would certainly consider typography and gridding, and as such I’m strongly obligated to consider this in the reformation as well as producing a piece of work that sets the scene on this year.

I’ve chosen to take inspiration from old bound books which are usually foil embossed because the furtherest objective the designer I want to become has is to publish a journal. Semiotically, I’m planting a seed.

Research

I found this book in the Library. its a prime example.
